Come and celebrate our freedom with us at our double-header Independence Day Race weekend!  We will have FIREWORKS and WATERMELON for everyone on Saturday! .  Being a double header weekend, you will be able to earn points for TWO rounds in each of the DAY + NIGHT series’ on ONE weekend!! . We have packed a lot of fun track time into 3 days, so come prepared for a great time, both on the track as well as in the pits!

ORGANIZED PRACTICE FRIDAY | JUNE 30 . Join us for Organized Practice on Friday from 3pm until 9pm!  It is open to riders of all ages, bikes, and skill levels, and is organized into bike/skill groups for everyone’s safety. . No membership of any kind is needed! . The practice fee is $25/rider and will be prorated throughout the day.  So even if you miss the first round of practice, you can still practice in the 2nd, or even just 3rd, round!  MORE INFO > . **All minors under 18 years MUST have a parent present to sign a release to practice or race. Bright and early on Saturday morning, we will be holding Round 2 of the Texas Lone Star State Championship MX Series!  No membership of any kind is needed to ride in this series! _________________________ . TEXAS LONE STAR SERIES | ROUND 5 SUNDAY MORNING | JULY 2 . On the following morning, Sunday, we will be holding Round 3 of the Texas Lone Star State Championship MX Series! . You only need to compete in 6 of 9 rounds to be eligible for series OVERALL AWARDS, CONTINGENCIES, and the GRAND PRIZE DRAWING!  If you race more than 6 rounds, your best 7 of 9 will count! . EAST TEXAS TORNADO RELIEF

DELIVERY OF DONATED ITEMS  |  MAY 10, 2017

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO GAVE

 

On April 29, 2017, several tornados ripped through East Texas leaving a trail of destruction, devastation, and sadly, even death, in its wake.  While those affected struggled to pick up the pieces, neighboring towns sprung into action by helping with clean up, as well as donating necessities to local city officials.

Before our race last weekend, we were contacted by Laci Harris, the mother of one of our racers.  She said that her family was wanting to help the tornado victims in nearby Canton, so they graciously led a donation drive in their hometown in Arkansas.  They were able to collect so much that they didn’t have much room left to fit their dirt bikes into their trailer when coming to the races!!  We were so amazed at how people from so far away banded together to give to our neighbors here whom they had never even met.  What a testimony of sharing God’s love to those in need!

Laci also suggested having a place set up at the races where racers could bring items to donate.  We were able to collect even more items, as well as financial donations!  Many people at the races pitched in and gave money, including one generous anonymous racer who matched the contributions and gave $500!  We even had a former racer’s family donate via Facebook when they saw our post on social media!  The total money raised was $1,000!!  What a blessing!!!

After the races, we called several locations in Canton to see where we could take the donations.  They all said the same thing: they were full to the max and could not accept any more donations!!  They directed us to check with a smaller town outside of Canton called Fruitvale that had been hit by a tornado as well.

 .

Knowing that some of our racers live in Fruitvale, we called the family of Jody & April Intlehouse.  During our conversation, we learned that Jody’s parent’s home had been hit WHILE they were inside it hunkered down in a closet with their 2-year old grandson!!!  They emerged safely from their closet to find that a portion of their home was destroyed and part of their roof was missing.

The shop that once stood behind their home was completely obliterated; only the concrete slab remained.

After hearing this amazing story, we knew exactly where the money that had been given should go!  This couple has been coming to Swan for years to watch their son and grandson race.  How fitting that one of our own racer’s family could be blessed by other fellow racers!!!  They were so overwhelmed and touched by this outpouring of love.

The donated bottled water, food, baby diapers, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, etc. were given to the Manna Food Bank at Grace Bible Fellowship Church and the Hope Pregnancy Center.  They were absolutely THRILLED to receive these necessities and repeatedly thanked us!!

Thank you again to everyone who participated and gave. Your gifts have made a significant difference in many people’s lives. May God richly bless you!!

THANK YOU FOR COMING TO SWAN MX!   Thank you to everyone who came and raced this past weekend!  The weather could not have been any better! We really appreciate you choosing to come and ride the South Central LLAQ at Swan!!   We had racers from 17 different states (including Canada!) in attendance and welcomed SIXTY-FIVE (65!!) racers who were brand new to Swan!   We hope that everyone enjoyed their time at Swan this weekend!  We welcome you to come back to our future events! VIEW RESULTS! MX Sports Qualifying Results will be posted on their site soon. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION Congratulations to everyone who placed in the top 8 and qualified!  If you placed outside of the top 8 we encourage you to register as an alternate! . To confirm your guaranteed spot or Alternate status at the Regional Championship, riders must pre-register with MX Sports by the deadlines below: . Amateur Classes 1-17 Deadline:  June 9 Regional location: Freestone on June 17-18 . Youth Classes 18.1-34 Deadline:  May 19 Regional location:  Underground on May 27-28 . . REGISTER FOR REGIONALS TODAY! > *Even if you have a guaranteed spot but don’t register by the deadline you will be considered an alternate.

UPDATE ON TORNADO RELIEF DONATIONS   Wow! We were touched to have so many people contribute to the East Texas tornado victims!  We had a racer’s family from Arkansas bring a trailer full of bottled water, canned food, baby diapers, etc that they had collected from their community! A generous racer offered to match the monetary donations- up to $500!! In addition to what was given at the track, a family via Facebook offered to donate the difference, so we could meet the $500 goal!!  By the end of the weekend, we had reached our goal and collected a GRAND TOTAL of $1,000!!!!!!!   Thank you so much to all who contributed!The many affected by this tragedy will be greatly touched by your help and generosity! “And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.” Hebrews 13:16

ANNUAL PRACTICE MEMBERSHIPS  (Deadline:  April 8-9)

A Practice Membership at Swan MX Park allows you to ride just about anytime you want!  The track is groomed almost every weekend, and RV hookups are included on non-race days for you to stay and practice!  Pay ONE fee and ride until December 31!

For those of you wanting to become a NEW Member in 2017, you will be able to get a membership at the track on SELECT Sundays in JANUARY, MAY, or SEPTEMBER.  HOWEVER, you may also sign up anytime Saturday or Sunday on most of our race weekends!

If you don’t want to wait until our next designated sign-up date on May 14, you are welcome to come anytime on April 8 or 9 to sign up! Just be sure to come with a little extra time so we can work around the track prep and get you signed up!  (You will be able to sign up on this weekend, but please note that you may not ride unless you are participating in a race.)  CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE!

The Texas LONE STAR State Championship MX Series is almost here!! APRIL 8-9 | Round 1

Organized Practice – Open to all! SATURDAY | APRIL 8, 2017 . Join us for our FIRST Organized Practice day of the year!  It is open to riders of all ages, bikes, and skill levels, and is organized into bike/skill groups for safety. . No membership of any kind is needed- just sign up**, get your practice sticker, and ride!  This is a great way to get in some seat time before Rounds 1 of BOTH the DAY & NIGHT series’ kick off on this same weekend! . The practice fee is $25/rider, but will be prorated throughout the day.  So even if you miss the first round of practice, you can still practice in the 2nd, or even just 3rd, round of practice! .   **All minors under 18 years MUST have a parent present to sign a release to practice or race. Or they must bring a completed NOTARIZED release.  You will not be allowed to ride without this.  You may print a release HERE.

LONE STAR Night Series | Round 1 SATURDAY | APRIL 8, 2017  . The 11th Annual LONE STAR Night Series will be kicking off Round 1 on Saturday, April 8!!  With so many classes offered for riders to race during the cooler evening hours, there are sure to be several for you to choose from!  Come and have some fun racing under our bright, stadium-style lights! . You only need to race in 6 of 9 rounds to be eligible for series OVERALL AWARDS!  If you race more than 6 rounds, your best 7 of 9 will count! . All LONE STAR Night Series races will run on the same weekend as our Texas LONE STAR State Championship MX Series!  So make plans to stay and race both different series’ for even more fun and track time!  .  . Texas LONE STAR State Championship MX Series | Round 1 SUNDAY | APRIL 9, 2017  . In the 3-year history of the Moto Masters Vet Series, Saturday’s Round 1 had the largest turnout to date!!  Riders 25+ years in age were treated to a luscious and beautiful track, as seen in the photo above!! On Saturday evening, we were faced with a dismal rainy weather forecast for Sunday.  We miraculously escaped the rain and only received an intermittent drizzle throughout the night!   As you can see in the radar photo, we were on the very edge of all the rain!  And, as we have witnessed many, many times before, God’s umbrella of protection seemed to be placed right over Tyler and Swan MX!!     Oh give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Psalm 107:1 God’s umbrella over Tyler and Swan MX! Sunday morning track conditions!  Sunday’s track started out super nice and loamy!!  However, the light mist throughout the day began to accumulate and created a slowly evolving muddy track.  By the end of the 2nd motos, riders were covered in Swan’s legendary red dirt!     Thankfully, the rain held out until the very last race of the day and everyone made it out of the park without incident!     Thank you to everyone who came and raced this weekend!  And especially those who travelled so far to race on Sunday, despite the gloomy forecast!   VIEW RESULTS!
